Giving Back with Heart

At Maine Aesthetic Medicine, philanthropy is at the core of who we are. Our owner, Brooke Rodrigue, BSN, RN, proudly serves as the Chair of the Board for HAND Philippines Org, a nonprofit providing free medical and surgical care to underserved communities in the Philippines. Brooke has traveled overseas three times as a volunteer nurse, offering hands-on care to those in need, and continues her mission locally by hosting the annual HAND Philippines Black-Tie Gala, which raised just under $30,000 in critical funds in 2025 for upcoming missions. She also donates 1% of all MAM proceeds to their cause.

Save lives and prevent disabilities by supporting our efforts to deliver vital surgeries to underserved communities.

Imagine a father, the breadwinner, who dies from an untreated hernia, or a mother, the heart of the home, who succumbs to an infected gallstone, leaving families in shambles and trapping children in poverty. Picture a farmer who loses his sight because of cataracts, preventing him from tilling his fields and supporting his family.

Medical complications from treatable conditions lead to preventable deaths and disabilities in working-age men and women, perpetuating the cycle of poverty. In Bohol, a disaster-hit rural province where the median yearly family income is only $1,770, surgeries such as hernia repairs and gallbladder removals cost over $1,500, and cataract surgery around $1,000—making them unattainable for most families.

Hand Philippines Org will travel to the Philippines twice a year to perform major elective and cataract surgeries at no cost to indigent patients. Thanks to generous partnerships, we’ve reduced the cost of each surgery to just $250—and plan to perform 275 life-changing procedures on each mission.

Your donation directly covers hospital fees, medications, and supplies, offering more than care—it offers hope, dignity, and a second chance at life.

$250 = One surgery that changes a life.
Together, we can restore health, empower families, and break the cycle of poverty.
